Article 23 — Scope

1. 1.

   Unless expressly provided otherwise, matters of the Royal House do not fall within the jurisdiction of ordinary courts or the scope of the Codes.

2. 2.

   Ordinary courts and organs shall treat determinations made under Royal House Law, including determinations of status, title, and succession, as conclusive for all purposes of State.

3. 3.

   The Sovereign may, by law or Sovereign Decree, confer limited jurisdiction upon an organ or tribunal to decide specified questions relating to the Royal House; any such jurisdiction shall be strictly construed.

4. 4.

   Nothing in this Title prevents the application of ordinary law to private acts of members of the Royal House when they act outside dynastic matters, unless the Sovereign determines otherwise.

5. 5.

   The dignity of the Crown and the autonomy of the Royal House shall be preserved in all public proceedings.
