Article 25 — Automatic Succession

1.
Upon the demise or abdication of the Sovereign, the Crown passes immediately and automatically in accordance with Royal House Law. No interregnum shall occur.

The successor becomes Sovereign at the moment of demise or at the effective moment stated in the instrument of abdication, as applicable.

3.
All public authority continues uninterrupted; all offices, delegations, and commissions remain in force until confirmed, altered, or revoked by the successor.

4.
Proclamation, coronation, oath, or other ceremony may be performed according to tradition but is not a condition of succession.

5.
References in law to the Sovereign shall be read, upon succession, as references to the lawful successor.
