Article 6 — Custody of Public Registers

All public registers maintained by or under the authority of the Chancellery shall be kept in such form as the Chancellor, by general rule, prescribes, including in such electronic form as may be authorised.

A register kept under this Act, or a copy thereof certified by the Chancellor or by an officer authorised in that behalf, shall be received in evidence in any court or tribunal as proof of the matters stated therein, without further proof of the signature, seal, or authority of the certifying officer.

3.
No person shall alter, deface, destroy, or unlawfully remove an entry in a register maintained under this Act; the Chancellor may, by general rule, provide for the correction of clerical errors and for the recording of supplementary information without the original entry being thereby altered.
